In October 2022 the Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach County transit operators entered into an agreement to establish a Joint Working Group to provide strategic review of the existing Tri-Rail service and analyze potential operations of a new commuter rail service on the Florida East Coast Rail Corridors.
